Our school lunches are provided by our superb Waterloo catering team and are very popular with over 300 children having a school dinner each day. Here at Waterloo, we are proud of the lunches we serve and we believe we offer excellent value for money as well as healthy, nutritional meals for your children which comply with all the government’s food standards for schools.
We pay extra attention to the nutrition of all our school meals and our menu offers a well-balanced choice which complies with statutory standards. The senior catering team have qualifications in nutrition and health and are committed to ensuring the best possible, nutritional meals at the best quality.
We use quality, fresh food delivered daily from locally sourced suppliers to support our local businesses.
We cater for all children and can accommodate all dietary requirements. If your child needs to follow a specific diet such as gluten/dairy free, please to the school office or your child’s class teacher who will put you in touch with our catering manager to discuss requirements and menu choices with you.
Please take a look at our newly introduced Instagram page @waterloo_loves_food, where you can keep up to date with your child’s healthy and tempting lunchtime menus.
From September 2020, to comply with new guidelines of restricting movement/mixing of bubbles, all school-made lunches will be delivered to class in temperature controlled, insulated boxes. They are still all prepared freshly on site each day and delivered to classrooms by our staff. Our menus reflect this and are now of the ‘one-pot’ variety and still comply with school food standards.
Our three-weekly menus are available to see below:
