School photographs with Tempest Photography

Tempest Photography will be present in school on Monday 8th November to undertake individual and family photographs. Please ensure children arrive in school on time and look ‘extra smart’ in their full school uniform. Children in Year 4 may have their photograph taken wearing their PE kit, or alternatively wear their uniform and bring their PE kit in a bag to change into.

Meet the Teacher

Although you will have probably already met your child’s teacher on the playground, we would love to invite you into school on Thursday 22/9/22, from 3.30-4pm, to visit classrooms, see some of your children’s art work and have a chat. Our leadership team will also be around during this time – please introduce yourself and have a chat with us too – it is always nice to meet the parents of our pupils. Please note: if your child is in Mrs Truelove’s class (Y3) or Mr Partington’s class (Y3), their Meet the Teacher session will be on Wednesday 21/9/22 from 3.30-4pm.

Jeans for Genes Day

To support the charity ‘Jeans for Genes’, pupils are invited to wear jeans instead of their usual trousers, skirts or pinafores next Friday. Trainers can be worn, but the upper part of uniform should still be worn please (polo shits and Waterloo jumpers). There will be a special assembly next week, to tell the children all about the charity. A donation of £1 is requested, if your child would like to wear their jeans (a maximum of £2 per family) all of which will go directly to the charity. Harvest Festival 2022 Non Uniform Day

On Friday 7th October, we will be holding a non-uniform day in return for a donation. Street Angels have politely requested the following items – all of which are non-perishable. Children in Need Day 2022

On Friday 18th November, Waterloo is once again proud to be supporting Children in Need. We are going to mark the event with a non-uniform day in school in return for a suggested donation of £1. The children are invited to wear their own clothes and if possible, include items of clothing that are yellow or ‘spotty’ – or both!

Wriggly Nativity

The Reception children and their staff team have been working incredibly hard over the last few weeks to put together their Wriggly Nativity. The children have loved learning the songs and trying on their costumes. There will be two performances for families of the Reception children, which will take place on Wednesday 7th December (Oak Class) and Thursday 8th December (Cherry Class). Both performances will start at 9:30am in the Sports Hall.
