Events for December 18 - October 15

Christmas dinner day is always lots of fun and a real highlight of the season. All children who normally have a school lunch, will automatically be included in the school Christmas dinner numbers. If your child normally brings a packed lunch, but you have returned the slip to say that they would like a one-off school dinner, they will also be included. If your child normally brings a packed lunch and they have not opted for a school Christmas dinner, they will need to bring a packed lunch from home as normal. The children and staff in Nursery are looking forward to sharing their Christmas sing-a-long with parents and carers on Wednesday 13th December at 2:30pm. The sing-a-long is open to all Nursery children and their families, even if they do not normally attend Nursery on a Wednesday.

On Friday 15th December, we will be holding a Christmas jumper day in school. The children are invited to come to school in a Christmas jumper (or non-uniform if they do not have a Christmas jumper) in exchange for £1 each or £2 per family. All the money raised will be donated to Brian House. Brian House is a local charity, who provide specialist care and support for babies, children and young people who have a life-limiting condition. Christmas parties are another highlight of the festive period and the children are already looking forward to them. On their party day, the children are encouraged to come to school in non-uniform/party clothes. Please note, all Nursery children are invited to the Christmas party. If your child does not normally attend Nursery on a Wednesday, please bring them to school at 9:30am so that they can join in the fun. You can collect them again at 10:30am. On Monday 18th December from 6:00pm - 7:00pm, we will be holding a family carols evening in the Sports Hall. It will be a very relaxed event, the school choir will be performing and there will be the opportunity to share in some carols together. Please do come along and join in with what should be a lovely launch to our last week of term as a school family. We will open the Harris Avenue gates at 5:40pm, but please refrain from parking on Harris Avenue, as we do not wish to upset our neighbours.

This term has been an extremely busy one in school. The children and the staff have worked incredibly hard and we are extremely proud of all that they have achieved. Your children really are taught by the most wonderful staff team and we are grateful for all their dedication and hard work. A reminder that school will close for Christmas on Thursday 21st December at 1:00pm and will re-open on Wednesday 3rd January 2023 at the normal time.
