Year 4’s Visit to the World Museum in Liverpool

On Wednesday, Year 4 visited the World Museum in Liverpool. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to explore a variety of exhibits, which supported their learning in school. Huge thanks to the Year 4 team for organising the trip, the children really had a wonderful time.

Remembrance

We have marked this year’s Remembrance Day with a special assembly and a one-minute silence, which was followed by The Last Post. The children were all incredibly respectful and they made us very proud. Yesterday, we took some children to the lay poppy wreaths at the graves of Waterloo pupils, who lost their lives in World War I. This is always a special occasion and the children represented school wonderfully. Red Nose Day

Many, many thanks for supporting Red Nose Day today. As a school, we have raised over £450 which is amazing! All the money raised from the non-uniform day, will go towards supporting many great causes. Your generosity in these challenging times is wonderful – thank you so very much.

Do you have a child due to start Nursery or Reception in September 2023? If so, we warmly invite you to come along to one of our open days to discover what it is like to be part of the Waterloo family. You will be able to meet members of the staff team, view the Early Years settings, get involved in some fun activities and take a tour of our wonderful school. Refreshments will be provided! Reception Reading Talk – Thursday 6th October 2022   On Thursday 6th October, the Reception team would like to invite you into school to share the many ways you can support your child as they are learning to read at home. The event will take place at 9am in the school sports hall and will last approximately 30 minutes. You will also have the opportunity to enjoy a bacon roll and a hot drink. Street Angels have politely requested the following items – all of which are non-perishable.   Coffee Sugar Long-life milk Pot Noodles Tins of soup Tins of tuna Tins of meat (e.g. corned beef)   Shower gel Shampoo Conditioner ​ Please bring any of the suggested items above into school on the morning of Friday 7th October.
