Position:         Cover Supervisor

Location:        Waterloo Primary Academy

Grade:            Unqualified Teacher

Salary:            £16,460 - £26,033

Contract:        Temporary 12 months contract, initially

Hours:            32.5 per week

We wish to appoint a Cover Supervisor on a full-time basis each week to assist the delivery of PPA (planning, preparation and assessment) cover and to teach classes in the absence of a full-time teacher.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and outstanding practitioner and will be enthusiastic about delivering a range of subjects to children aged between 3 and 11. They will be committed to providing a secure, happy and exciting learning experience which meets the needs of all learners. In addition, we are seeking to recruit someone who will:

- have excellent classroom and personal skills

This post will suit an experienced HLTA or teacher with experience of delivering the primary curriculum (including EYFS) and have a demonstrable track record of high expectations, excellent behaviour management skills and successful outcomes for children. 

It is imperative that applicants are able to work independently as well as part of our large staff team, all of whom have the desire to make a difference.  Applicants must demonstrate a willingness to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school.

  • New entrants to Waterloo Primary Academy are subject to a six-month probationary period
